Phaetons were a factory ordered Special Edition option package ( Code YP5 ) that added another 25% of the original base cost ( + $2029.00 ) to a DeVille series Cadillac. All Phaetons ( 1978-79 ) were built at the Clark Street Plant in Detroit, Mich. and then sent out to ASC Corp. at Reeck  Road, Southgate, MI. about a half hours drive from the Clark Street plant.
